Five Weed-Infused Holiday Recipes

This is where we’ll remind you to be responsible when dosing edibles and request consent from all guests before infusing any shared food with cannabinoids.  But you knew that already. Here are our top five cannabis-infused dishes for your next Friendsgiving or pot-friendly holiday gathering.

Lemon-Herb Turkey Marinade

This recipe takes about ten minutes to whip together and can be used for up to eighteen pounds of turkey. If your cannabis oil contains ten percent THC or CBD, you and your guests will consume around 44 mg of THC or CBD per serving. You can use that to do the math on anything more or less potent.

Ingredient List:

  • Two tablespoons salt
  • One tablespoon of ground black pepper
  • Two tablespoons of garlic powder
  • One tablespoon of onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (to taste)
  • Two bay leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon sage
  • 1/8 teaspoon celery seed
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup white wine vinegar
  • Three tablespoons Worcestershire
  • 1/2 cup cannabis-infused oil

Directions:

  • Grind the spices and herbs together until they are in powder form.
  • Whisk together the ground spices and the other ingredients.
  • Mix the ingredients until smooth and similar to a vinaigrette.
  • Place the ingredients into a syringe and inject the turkey legs, thighs, and breasts approximately four hours before cooking. You’ll know you have added enough marinade when it leaks out of the turkey into the pan.

Ganja Garlic Mash

This creamy, smooth, and delicious garlic mashed potatoes recipe combines cannabutter, chives, and sour cream to make an incredible compliment to the main dish this holiday season.

Ingredient List:

  • One head garlic
  • One teaspoon of olive oil
  • 3 pounds potatoes peeled
  • Two tablespoons cannabutter
  • Three tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup fresh chopped chives
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

Garlic

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Peel as much loose papery white skin off the head of garlic with your fingers as you can, but they will still have some of the skin. Place the garlic head in the middle of a square of aluminum foil. Drizzle olive oil over the garlic. Cover the bulb with another aluminum foil and bake for about 25 minutes or until the cloves feel soft when pressed.

Potatoes

  • Peel potatoes and cut them into chunks.
  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add potatoes and cook until tender, about ten minutes.
  • Drain potatoes in a colander. Add hot potatoes to a large bowl. Squeeze garlic from the cooled garlic head and add potatoes with cannabutter, butter, sour cream, and chives. Mash the potatoes until the potatoes are a perfect consistency.
  • Season to taste with salt and pepper and serve.

“Green” Bean Casserole

This green bean casserole recipe goes beyond the traditional dish your Aunt Sue brings yearly because it calls for a few unique ingredients, including cannabutter, bacon, and creamy cheddar. Each guest should get about thirty mg of CBD or THC per serving for six servings.

Ingredient List:

  • 18 ounces of cut green beans
  • Eight slices bacon
  • Ten chopped cremini mushrooms
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • One can of cream of mushroom soup.
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ¾ cup of crispy fried onions
  • ¼ cup melted cannabutter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and place the green beans into a casserole dish.
  • Fry the bacon until brown and crispy; remove from the skillet and drain most of the grease from the pan, leaving just enough oil to cook the mushrooms.
  • Saute mushrooms until tender and season with garlic and onion powder.
  • Pour in mushroom soup and bring the mixture to a light boil.
  • Pour the mixture over the green beans.
  • Crumble the bacon on top and sprinkle in the cheddar cheese.
  • Cover with the fried onions, then brush with melted cannabutter.
  • Season with salt and pepper, then bake for twenty minutes until the sauce bubbles.
